At Kogarah Intensive English Centre we aim to make technology a leading priority for teaching and learning. We are continually expanding the use of technology in the classrooms and across the curriculum.
Computer studies is a creative and exciting course, designed to develop students' knowledge, confidence and creativity in using a variety of word processing and web-based programs. Computer studies focuses on developing computer literacy through the completion of a number of projects. As students progress through the course, they will complete work using the main programs in the Microsoft Office Suite, create a digital narrative, design and publish their own website as well as learning about Internet safety and etiquette. These projects develop students' knowledge and skills in computer graphics, web site development, multimedia, spreadsheets, video editing and Internet research. All programs in the Computer Studies course are literacy based, focusing on technical vocabulary.
